Hi all
I had my first day at the beach today since diagnosis..... it all went well and I was comfortable in my top and leggins but my question is which sun creams do people recommend for her face when out and about on the beach etc. I wear nivea normally but wonder if there are any better more "rugged" face creams
Thanks
Hi Clapet….I am new to all this too so I have scoured this site and the internet for answers….I think it very much depends on what you want from your F50 on your face…things like skin type and age being factors too…I have always worn a foundation with a F15 but clearly not enough now…so now I use a La Roche Posay F50 for mature skins which sits really well under my makeup….I also top up with the F50 spray during the day depending on how much time I’m spending outside…..I am sure others will come back to you but if you put sunscreen into the search bar in the forum there will be a good range of answers for you to consider.. Take care x
Hi Clapet, I haven’t really favoured one brand above another I go for F50 with 5 stars and for sensitive skin, being careful as the ones I use need to be applied 15 mins before you go out and reapplied every 2 hours. I have never used a spray or an 8hour one, I always wonder what would happen if you missed a bit! I always have a sunhat that’s rated 50 with a wide brim so that creates protection for my scalp, face and neck. I am not big on makeup so reapplying isn’t an issue, often I’m not out long enough to reapply and I’m not seeking the sun I’m just coping with it inevitably being there pushing through the shade or clouds at this time of the year.
Thanks KT
I have a hat etc but with 2 young children I'm just considering options for the enevitable times I'm out in the sun.

I saw this in Boots the other day...£25.... haven’t tried it yet.
I’ve been using the Boots 8hr 50F facial sun cream. It is thick and I haven’t reacted to it which is great but it gives a very shiny look.... the me of my sons said it looked like I’d polished my face
I’ve bought La Roche to try out so hopefully not so shiny.
I like the La Roche, it's nice under make up. Day to day I have been wearing Sunsense which also isn't shiny
