Of course many here will already be aware that they have cancer, and in this respect the blood test will not be useful to them. However, when our bodies are scanned, our head, arms and legs are not, so this could make the routine check up/ wait & watch programs far more accurate & reassuring. Three of my melanomas which have been surgically removed were all in my limbs.
Also provided the blood test is not extremely expensive, I imagine the follow up on cancer patients could be increased by a few years providing peace of mind or early warning that treatment should be resumed.
Its all really clever stuff and a good news story that I thought I'd share.
I hope you're all doing well in you social distancing or isolation at home. As a one time long distance off shore solo yachtman, its probably been easier for me than many.
Take care
J
Interesting for other cancers, however I doubt it includes melanoma as there is currently no blood test that detects melanoma. The Australians are still researching this https://medicalxpress.com/news/2018-07-blood-early-stage-melanoma-patients.html
