Hi i has a stage 3b melanoma diagnosed last year. i have a WLE and SNB and started adjunctive thearapy in dec last year. the last few months the treatment has been stop start due to raised liver function followed by two night stay in hospital due to them being very high. liver scan all ok. anyone else had to stop treatment before the 12 months? worried as feel that it i dont complete course its going to come back. despite 6month ct scans and 3 monthly dermatology reviews. anyone have any experiences the same? thanks
I’m in exactly the same boat as you. I also had stage 3b melanoma. I had to stop adjuvant treatment after just one dose in March as I developed type 1 diabetes and other side effects. I’m also now on 6 mth CT scans and 3 month dermatology. Like you I would have preferred to have had the full course but I’m determined not to live my life in fear( easier said than done I know). I’m going to live life to the full and trust the scans and skin checks will pick up any reoccurrence early. Good luck moving forward. You’ve got this
thank you. i agree completely with what you say. but keep thinking if i dont finish it....... x
I know this whole journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. When I was first diagnosed a good friend who was battling bowel cancer at that time told me not to look to far into the future and just take one day at a time and that’s honestly what I’m trying to do
