continuing adjunctive therapy

I’m in exactly the same boat as you. I also had stage 3b melanoma. I had to stop adjuvant treatment after just one dose in March as I developed type 1 diabetes and other side effects. I’m also now on 6 mth CT scans and 3 month dermatology. Like you I would have preferred to have had the full course but I’m determined not to live my life in fear( easier said than done I know). I’m going to live life to the full and trust the scans and skin checks will pick up any reoccurrence early. Good luck moving forward. You’ve got this

I know this whole journey is a rollercoaster of emotions. When I was first diagnosed a good friend who was battling bowel cancer at that time told me not to look to far into the future and just take one day at a time and that’s honestly what I’m trying to do

Hello, I have stage 4 melanoma. I started ipilumab and Nivolumab treatment on 4/06/26. Persist fevers almost from start. Second infusion stopped due to a reaction. About 10 days later I ended up in hospital for a week due to high liver enzymes and hyper ferritin level. On IV steroids but didn't fully respond so  started tacrolimus, an anti rejection drug.  Steroids reduced and I remain on tacrolimus. Restarted single Nivolumab 6 weeks after the second infusion. I've had 2 treatments so far. I can sympathise with your concerns as I haven't even completed 4 full cycles with active disease. Sorry this doesn't really help does it but I have certainly read other posts that state treatment withheld indefinitely as early as after 1 treatment due to immunotherapy reactions and they have been clear on monitoring. So I hope all goes well for you.
