Just got back from the hospital and had it confirmed the mole removed was a melanoma. Tha fully depth went to 0.03mm and been told I will need to come back for the additional skin removal as a precaution.
I feel happy and scared at same time. They told me all the cancer was removed on the removal of the mole and the extra procedure is to make sure. Then will be having check ups. Twice in the next 12 months.
Feel a bit numb as well though. I had a feeling they would say this and so prepared somewhat but do feel a little... not with it. If thats the right wording.
Hubby has been amazing and I am glad he came to the appointment as he took in more info than me. But think I am still processing it. If that makes sense?
I know I am lucky in that it was been taken but still one I need to process i think.
