After my first immunotherapy session for stage 3c melanoma with satellites. I have developed immunotherapy induced type 1 diabetes and I’m currently in hospital getting stable and starting on insulin. As of Cancer and immunotherapy we’re not enough to deal with I now have to try and cope with this. Is anyone dealing with this?

  • I sailed through my immunotherapy.obviously I had tiredness and sometimes sickness usually stuff you expect I have never heard of this . So sorry you have to endure that on top of everything else  . I can’t help I’m afraid but here to support

  • Consultant said less than 1 percentage of people develop Type 1 diabetes because of immunotherapy, it was actually the only side effect I had
