Hi there, I had WLE on my neck 3 days ago. Near the top of my scar (just into my hair line), there is a raised area with some veins which is very sore, pink and slightly warm. I’m wondering if it’s a hematoma developing. I also have numbness down the side of my face and ear. I experienced some nerve pain during the procedure so I presume there may be some damage. This is all very different from my initial mole removal and it’s significantly bigger overall (they removed 2cm all together since my breslow depth was 2.9mm with an ulcerated, nodular melanoma with 2 micro-satellites, stage 3b). Does anyone have any experience of hematoma or nerve damage following WLE? Thanks. H
Hi Mamski788385
I'm sorry to read that an area of your wound has a "raised area......which is very sore, pink and slightly warm".
Have you had a chance to discuss this with your SCNS. I don't want to alarm you but this could be signs of an infection. If you still have these symptoms, it might be an idea to give NHS111 a call for advice.
