Mole removed from sole of foot

Hello everyone,

I’ve just had a suspicious mole removed from the sole of my foot (I don’t have any results yet but they told me pretty straight that it needed to come out now). I’m really struggling to walk as the wound just starts bleeding as soon as I put any pressure on my foot. They told me this is likely to be a problem and I’ve spoken with the team today who’ve told me to add more padding, keep my foot elevated and call them back in the morning.

I was just wondering if anyone on here had any suggestions as I’m not sure how I’m going to cope like this for two weeks.

thanks in advance.

  • Hi, it sounds quite tricky for you!
hopefully things are improved a bit for you with the bleeding?

I think it’s best to run this via your hospital team, especially as you say they already expected it. If it increases rather than stabilises or improves probably best to have it checked in person.

Wishing you all the very best for your histology results also.

  • Thank you- I went back yesterday and everything is ok, it’s just impossible to stand on it.
If they have to do more surgery I’ll be having a more thorough conversation with them about how I can cope with this Laughing
