I had stage 3C Melanoma have had immmunotherapy only managed 4/9 treatments as was too brutal as per my oncologist. But now 10 months after last treatment has metastasised to my lungs not sure anywhere else awaiting follow up scan. I’m really scared as all that’s left is targeted therapy has anyone had this as I would be interested to know? It would be nice to hear back from someone who has experienced similar and hope that everyone is well.
Hi, thanks for the reply I’ve to get another ct scan end of Aug then waiting for results. Then taking it from there as I’m not sure what will be happening. Glad you’ve got an appointment with the Respiratory team then a follow up with your oncologist. It’s all the waiting that does your head in. I hope all goes well and yes definitely stay in touch and we can compare as it’s good to know how other people are dealing with the same type of thing. Best wishes and staying positive
Hi am kind of similar I was stage 3c nodular melanoma now stage 4 inoperable, i had 3 rounds of pembrolizumab that didn't work and its spread to my pelvis skin groin and lung , im due my second dose of opdualag in the morning hence why I cant sleep tonight , the pembrolizumab cause hypothyroidism and left me with severe fatigue and a terrible dry mouth,

Hi, thanks for that , no its a newer immunotherapy its a combination of nivolumab and relatlimab
I’ve never heard of it, it’s good to know I’m in Scotland I’m not sure we will get it or not. I hope you feel ok with this and it works well.
That’s good to know I would be going to the Beatson Glasgow but I’m still waiting for my scan. Then will find out what’s happening.

Although Targeted Therapy did not work in the long-term for me (I got a recurrance after I stopped taking it), it seemed to work while I was taking it (no new cancer growth) and also everyone is different. Targeted Therapy saved this guy's life. I found it an uplifting watch.
I hope you get the support you need.
Warm wishes,
Dots
