Calf pain after thigh mole biopsy

Hi all!

Hope it's okay to post here since my mole biopsies were related to suspected melanoma (yet to get results).

Had toe punch biopsy on one foot and a thigh mole biopsy on the opposite leg a week ago.

I'm still hobbling slightly but that's mainly due to this calf pain on the side of my thigh biopsy. I was fine prior so I went to GP who ruled out DVT which is good but even after sleeping and resting the discomfort only as I walk and put pressure on ball of my foot/bend my knee is there straight away.

Heating pad did not work, ice helped only very slightly. I haven't yet tried driving because of this.

I have my wound check tomorrow and will mention there too but I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else got these sort of symptoms and whether they will fade... I'm putting it down to maybe using that muscle more?

Thanks for any input or relatable experiences you can share :)

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the group which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

How did you get on at the wound check and what did they say about the pain you're experiencing in your thigh?

  • Hi!

Thanks for reply, thankfully calf pain isn't as bad so I suspect if it was torn or pulled too much it's now healing. Wounds looking good and I mentioned it but they weren't concerned to do anything further at this point.

Also a factor might have been (related to other medical conditions) not having enough potassium which is key to the muscles.

So yeah feeling more positive about managing things in final healing stages! Tried driving today. Now just waiting for results
