Good evening all.
I am coming up to my last week and half of Dab & Tram, I finish on 26th Feb 2025.
I have been on the full dose for 12 months, but I only came off it for 3 days due to nausea.
Last night I was reading some messages on this forum and about side effects.
I am just seeing if anybody else has had any of the problems / side effects below ?
For the last 3 months or so I have been getting red blotches on my arms and legs and if i touch them they are sore, they come and go.
Also for the last 3 months or so my hands have been sore and the bottom of my feet have been the same and painful to walk on, about 3 weeks ago both my hands swelled up and the skin was tight and shiny, if I made a fist and were very sore, this happens now and again.
Now and again, like the last few nights, I have had to get up and change my tee shirt as it cold wet, I have no high temperature, just a wet and cold tee shirt, very uncomfortable, has anybody else had this problem.
I must admit that I am scared of coming off the meds, it's feels like it is / was my safety net.
Thanks for reading this.
Simon.
Hi Simon/Grinch
Doesn't time fly! It only seems a short while ago that you were starting treatment.
I'm just 'bumping' this post back to the top of the page as I noticed that it hadn't had any replies yet.
Wishing you all the best
Anne
Hi Anne.
Really lovley to hear from you, hope you are keeping well.
Yes, time does fly, it only seems like yesterday that I had my operation.
Do you remember what i wreck i was :-( but the help of certain people like you and the lovely people on Melenomamates and of course the fantastic staff at the Christie i am defiantly handling things alot betting these days, it took a long time though.
On the day i finish my Dab and Tram on the 26th Feb, I have a meeting with my oncologist on the same day and I am sure last time she told me that I am still under the oncologist care for another 12 months as I can still get side effects even after finishing my meds.
Thank you Anne.
Take care.
Simon x
I have had the red blotches on my arms and was told it was panniculitis. After using hydrocortisone cream they disappeared but have come back. I just applied the cream as advised by my oncologist as and when needed & it seems to work. I know what you mean about the tablets feeling like a safety net,it's so scary thinking of not being on them. Hope everything goes well for you.
