2 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Melanoma and had a SLNB and WLE, results were clear. About a year ago an area on my face felt rough, I've used Klisiri ointment twice but its returned. My consultant has prescribed Efudix, a 30 day treatment. On the first day immediately after application i felt an immense burning sensation, this lasted about 12hrs and left my face numb. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? I have a consultation on Frday so trying to gather my thoughts, any comments welcome

  • Hi Romy60 welcome to the forum. I have heard of this cream before as it is a type of chemotherapy for skin. However, one of the known side effects, and it is listed in the insert with the cream is burning sensations. If it was me I would not want to be using that again until.i had seen the Consultant and that's only really a day away. Hope you manage to get dome answers. Best wishes for now.
