Has anyone been through or going through tablet treatment for Braf3 melanoma! I'm worried what the future holds.

  • I have stage 3C melanoma going through treatment  dab and tram meds. These meds are not agreeing with me the side effect for me are making me poorly. Not everyone has the side effect so I think I’m just unlucky.Hope all goes well for you.

  • I also have stage 3c melanoma. I have been on dab/tram since February this year. After the first cycle (4 weeks) I developed cellulitis in both legs. Taken off meds for 10 days and put on antibiotics. Everything mostly OK since then, fatigue and aches and pains. Just been in A & E this week with high temperature. Put on antibiotic drip as a precaution and blood tests taken. Put down to viral infection. The dab/tram is working though, my lymph nodes are back to normal and no sign of cancer; fingers crossed.

  • Thank you, I hope you're treatment continues well. I will keep my fingers crossed for you too.

  • Hi

I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer which is in my neck, jaw, around my oesophagus, lymph nodes, trunk and lower bowel.  I started Dab Tram tablets on 4 September and so far the side effects have been minimal.  A couple of episodes of feeling very cold and shaking but apart from that I have had no other side effects. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Hopefully I start immunotherapy in a few months - that is another journey.

That is how I get through this - something that has to be done to give me a bit more time with my partner and family.  Staying positive and living in the moment helps a lot - keeping working while I am able to as that keeps my mind occupied.

I wish you well on your journey too x

  • Thank you for your reply,it really helps to hear of other people's experiences..I am trying to keep positive just having a few problems sleeping at the moment but hopefully that will pass.I hope the rest of your journey goes well and good luck with the immunotherapy! Xx
