Hi everyone,
I'm new to this group, went to hospital yesterday because of a mole on my shoulder, I had a bit of a shock, the doctor told me that he was suspicious that it was melanoma, I had to have it removed there and then. I am now waiting for the test results. Any advice or help I would be most grateful of.
Thanks
Hi Mael and a very warm welcome to the melanoma forum which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
It was nearly 9 years ago now that I was in the same position as you but I can remember how worrying waiting for results can be.
I tried to spend my time doing things that I enjoyed so that I had less time to spend worrying. Lots of people find mindfulness really useful and, if this is something that interests you, clicking here will give you more information.
Were you given an idea of how long your results should be? Hopefully, it'll turn out to be an atypical mole and nothing worse.
Do come back if you want to ask any questions
((hugs))
Hi, yes 2 weeks and I'm off on holiday for a week so that should help take my mind off it, work helps too.
Thank you for your advice
