I’ve had a BCC on my left ear, a BCC on my back, a melanoma 1B on my right arm,
now I’ve found a marked skin change on my neck that looks very much like modular melanoma. I rang the skin cancer team and they checked the photos and I have an emergency appointment on Tuesday but feeling very anxious.
im not lucky with my health and have loads of other conditions and my body doesn’t heal well as I have several large keloids.
im hoping I’m wrong but don’t think I am. My skin was checked in January by the consultant and this was not there then. Also I do not go out much nor sunbathe so really struggling with the whole thing … I’m in my early 50s ..
Hi J09
So sorry to hear what you are going through, totally get the idea of cancer on top of everything else since my wife has Leiomyosarcoma on top of sarcoid and daibetes - sometimes it can feel like we will never get a break.
One thing we learnt was that when it comes to our own bodies we really are the experts. We are lucky in that my wifes cancer has been stable now for over 10 years and we are now living with rather than anything else.
Hope the appointment on Tuesday goes as well as it might and that you manage to cope over the weekend.
<<hugs>>
Steve
