I had a general anaesthetic when I had my WLE and SLNB. I don't think it's possible to have a SLNB under a local anaesthetic as it's quite a big operation. Clicking here will give you more information.

I had a local anaesthetic when I had mine. I was given the choice. The operation lasted one and a half hours. It was ok as the nurse kept talking to me.

Did you have to have the die injected the day before ?

Yes I did.

It was a long time ago I had it. It was either day before or the morning before opp. Sorry can’t remember
