Good morning, everyone,
I have recently had a melanoma diagnosis and I am feeling incredibly anxious and sad. I just don’t know what to do. Some time I feel ok and others I am very low.
I am very scared.
Did you all feel the same way after diagnosis?
What did you do to get through these times?
Thank you in advance for you support.
Hi RitzyRain18 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with melanoma and I doubt that there's anyone in the group who didn't feel like you did when first told.
What stage are you at with treatment? I'm assuming that you're waiting to have a wide local excision (WLE) and possible sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB).
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
