Hi does anyone on here work when having treatment. My melanoma is now stage 3. Found a small amount in lymph nodes. Just had a pet scan waiting on results to see about treatment. My work is a physical job as on feet all day and busy as its in catering in a school. I am able to do lighter duties. I guess I might need time off if get side affects.
Hi Miss Mole,
I was also stage 3 and completed the immunotherapy regimen. I do know that I was fortunate, but my side effects were minimal and not incapacitating. I experienced bouts of colitis and itchy skin. Both very manageable and I did not miss a day of work during treatment. I did very physical heavy construction work during the course of my treatment. I know that others have experienced debilitating side effects, but I found my experience to be not uncommon at the oncology clinic where I received treatment. I'm now 3 years cancer-free. I wish you the best and hope that your side effects are minimal as well.
Take care,
Dave
