Hi there wondering why so people receive Pembro 3weekly and some every six weeks ? My husband is every 6 weeks

Not sure of the reasoning but the drug is marketed as either 200 mg every 3 weeks or 400 mg every 6 weeks.

So double the dosage for double the time before the next.

I was told by my Oncologist that the NHS tended to go for six weeks of double dose, in part due to keeping numbers down during Covid.. Whereas Private patients were seen every three with a single dose. But I can’t verify that, it was just told to me verbally. 

My oncologist said it was each consultants personal preference.  She'd had some patients have bad reactions to the double dose so she only prescribed the 200mg every 3 weeks.   The double dose doesn't work for longer than the single, no difference in its effectiveness has been found as yet. X
