My partner had 2 lymph nodes removed 1 has come back positive. He will obviously be seen to discuss treatment I was wondering what happens now, now the cancer is in lymph nodes can I travel elsewhere even though node has been removed? All of a ‘tis was right now
Hi NannyStan
I'm sorry to read that one of your partner's lymph nodes has come back positive for melanoma and I can understand why you're "all of a 'tis" right now.
When your husband has his appointment to discuss treatment he will be told what the planned treatment will be. Unfortunately, because there are melanoma cells in his SLN this means that the melanoma has started to move away from the primary site so he may have further tests and scans to see if it has spread elsewhere in his body and clicking here will give you more information on this.
