I have stage 3a melanoma I had a follow up scan last week consultant said there is inflammation showing on lung not likely to be melanoma is his gut feeling I am on prem 3rd treatment done last week have appt with oncologist next week I had covid 3 weeks ago so it could be that can't believe melanoma could spread to lung I feel so well no swollen nodes as consultant checked 2 days before scan

Covid does cause inflammation in the lung, so I think you should trust your consultant on this. Please try to stay positive until you have more info.
Hope you get some clarity and good news from your oncologist next week.

Covid definitely causes inflammation of the lungs.... member side my family have had issues with this - nothing serious or long lasting.

Thank you I only had mild symptoms but praying its that doesn't seem logical that last scan in April was clear and then melanoma can appear 4 months later
