Hi everyone, I’ve just joined. Have been on active monitoring since 2017 but had radiotherapy on my groin firstly, currently for a lump behind my tongue. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has avoided chemotherapy so far
Hi Bluebell and welcome to this corner of the Community. I am Mike Thehighlander and I help out around our Lymphoma groups.
I don't have Mantle Cell NHL but was was diagnosed in way back in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable low grade type of NHL Stage 4a so I know this journey rather well.
Each situation and Lymphoma type can be different - I kept clear of Chemo for over 14 years but did have 14 years of other treatments including radiotherapy........ my consultant always said that we will only use the treatments when they are needed - not a day sooner.
Lets see if any of the group members can help you out.
The BOLD link above is taken from the Lymphoma Action Website. Lymphoma Action is a small but very active UK Lymphoma Specific Charity who have lots of good reliable information, videos and run regular Regional Online Lymphoma Online Support Groups and indeed a great Lymphoma Buddy Service where people can be linked up with someone who has walked the same treatment journey.
Always around to chat as any time ((hugs))
