  •  Hi  and welcome to this corner of the Community although always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike  and I help out around our blood cancer groups.

I don’t have Mantle Cell NHL but was diagnosed way back in 1999 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of low grade skin NHL Stage 4a and although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I understand this journey rather well unfortunately.

Negative thoughts are normal - you have cancer, you cant hear treatable with an intent to cure........ believe it.

As I said my type of NHL is incurable but I am now 5 years in remission, amazing in that back in 1999 I was told I would never see any long term remission.

There are many treatments used. but as you are heading into Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) the treatment you will have is a stepping stone for getting you into the position for going into SCT...... I know this journey rather well as I have had two Allo (donor) SCTs...... save me telling you a rather long story you can hit my community name  and see my story.

SCT is a challenging but amazing treatment so support and understanding is very important so can I recommend you also join our dedicated Stem cell transplant group as you will connect with others who have been there and done it.

Happy to talk more on here or in the SCT Group.
