Hi all,
I’m new to the group. My husband was initially told that he had muscle invasive bladder cancer after tumour removal back in October then after CT scan results we were advised he had secondary lung cancer and palliative care only
He started 6 courses of Gemcarbo chemo in November and his 5th course starts this week.
so much unknown about how this will all play out... prognosis apparently around 18mths poss 2 years...
Anyone else on here experienced or going through similar?
x
I was told a year ago I have 2 years left. I have lung mets and base of skull metastases.I am now taking a targeted drug. I get tired but feel well and still have a quality of life. I just keep on going.
there is a good group I belong to called for those with incurable cancer and they are helpful to talk to. Lots of them have gone past their sell by date.
my best wishes to you and your husband
Ruth
Hi Ruth,
Thank you so much for your response and for giving me a glimpse into someone else's life with a similar diagnosis. Your response is so encouraging, thank you and you sound like you are bossing your own situation. What a great role model.
I may well check out some of the other groups including that of the incurable cancer group.
Sending you lots of positive vibes and best wishes
Wendy
