Ask An Expert - Lung Cancer

Hi All

Not sure if you have seen but they have opened an ask about lung cancer section for November. I think is really good and a great time to get any questions answered that may have been troubling you or you have forgotten to ask, or even felt silly for asking.

I had looked for this ask an expert section on lung cancer when I first joined but it had been shut a year previously.

Just thought I would point it out to any of you in case you needed it.... I will try and post one of those fancy links I see others doing. If all else fails I'll do it the old fashioned way.

Hi Gina

Thank you for the information on ask an expert .I have posted a question and will eagerly await a response. I wonder why the lung cancer part was discontinued.

Hi Gina,

Thank you for informing us that the Lung Cancer Ask an Expert section is opened. Do you know if an expert will be joining to answer the questions? I ask as there has been an ask a nurse section where anyone could pose questions in existence for a long time, so I am hoping there may be a guest specialist joining the Lung Cancer forum.

Kind thoughts

hi booney   one question already answered.            To mark Lung Cancer Awareness Month, we're here until the end of the month to answer any questions you may have. We will aim to respond within 2 working days.

Hi Booney

I am sorry I am not sure, I went back to see who had answered a question asked and it seems to be a Macmillan nurse. So I guess you are right that it may not be that much more than the ask a nurse previously offered.

Though the session is specifically aimed at lung cancer and as Darlo points out they have said to ask any question.

I assume if the nurse does not know she will endeavour to find out or point you in the direction of where to find the answer.

Of course, they can only answer general questions and not specific to each patient questions. I can only suggest if you have a question that you ask it and see if the answer helps you.

Best wishes

Thank you Gina and Darlo, I just wondered if there was something special being arranged for lung cancer awareness month. I should be seeing my own nurse on the 27th, so I will save my questions for her.

Good thoughts with you both,

Booney
