Hi. I'm new to this and I suppose I'm looking for some sort of support. My Mum has lung cancer(incurable). She was diagnosed around 3 years ago now but stated from the very beginning that she did not want to know what stage or how long she may have. I understand this is her way of coping with everything but i find it really difficult not knowing what the proper diagnosis/stage is. Initially she was given immunotherapy until it stopped working then she was on a trial drug which has aslo stopped working. What we do know is there is a part of the cancer that has grown in her right lung and they now want to try radiation for 5 day's. She also has Adisons disease and is on medication for that aswell. Lately she has had a really sore head so they've done and MRI to see if there's cancer in her brain. She spends most days in her bed and is in quite alof of pain. She is very stubborn about getting any outside help for anything, i feel so helpless. I just don't know what to do to help or what help is even out there. I can't bare to see her in pain. She has specificly told her consultant's that doesn't want to know alot but that also means we as a family don't know either so I'm constantly thinking the worst. Any help is appreciated. Is anyone else in the same position? How did they help or cope etc?

Thanks,

From a Loving Daughter who is so scared right now and doesn't know where to turn.x
