Hi all, first time posting, not sure what I'd like to know but basically diagnosed with 7 cm lesion in right upper lobe, then months later 2 very small nodules in left lung plus small nodule in lymph nodes.bave has chemo and 6 weeks radio, radio tough, chemo not too bad. Right now I'm afraid to ask consultant what's the plan going forward, kinda only want good stories which probably isn't achievable but thinking about the harsh reality of cancer is too much sometimes, was wondering has anyone have similar diagnosis and what you did? Thanks
We all understand how frightening this is. My husband was diagnosed in April with stage 3b nsc lung cancer. He underwent 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy concurrently. He had a break for a month and has had 1 course of immunotherapy and is having his second tomorrow. His cancer was inoperable. Just had great news this morning-his tumour has had a significant reduction in size. It has reduced from 46mm to 29mm and that was from the CT scan in August, we are very hopeful it has reduced even more now. Throughout the treatment his only real side effect has been fatigue and no energy. The radiotherapy affected his swallow and taste but that’s all improving and his energy is coming back again. It’s been a hard 6 months but we have stayed strong and positive by taking it a day at a time!
