Hi I am new to this forum and recently underwent blood tests for a new form of biopsy I signed up to a new trial based at llandough hospital cardiff it is called Quickdna .
They take blood sample to check cor cancer instead of the normal biopy where they take samples for testing.
has anyone else had this type of biopsy.
My posible lung cancer started in June this year.

Hi welshlad that is very interesting. We only usually hear about such trials through members who have posted here, so thank you for the information. Trials are so very important, not just for us, but for the people who come after us. Let’s not forget that immunotherapy was only a trial just a few years ago, and a couple of members here were in that trial. Look how far immunotherapy has come, and there are still some very exciting discoveries with it.
I have had a look at the QuicDna biopsy trial, and it does sound very interesting. I will pop a link below for anyone that wishes to have a look.
Hi your so welcome and good they are trialing different processes on cancer and others
Hi, thanks for the information. I too live in Wales and it is good to know about this blood test.
I had the core needle biopsy in 2023, and although it wasn't too bad, it is an ordeal to go through which comes with with risks attached. A blood test would be far less invasive and a much more comfortable process to go through.
Thanks again for the information.
Ann
