Hi
my mum recently got diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma. She is now going for a PET and MRI scan. Sadly they are unable to operate due to the location. It’s in the right lung but too close to blood vessels? I am so scared. The consultant is talking about a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Has anyone got any experience of this? Can it be successful?
The waiting is so hard.
Hi Roseeee
So sorry that you have cause to be on here.
I am living proof that this combination treatment can be very successful. I had the treatment back in 2011, and although it was tough to get through, it was very much doable. Since then, the chemo has been made a lot kinder, so less or milder side effects.
I hope this helps a little bit and I wish you both the best possible outcomes.
Kegsy x
