Hi, my first post. Got diagnosed 1st November with mucinous adenocarcinoma stage 4. Waiting for an appointment now at the Christie for a treatment plan. Been told chemo and immunotherapy.

No idea what to expect but I'm trying to remain positive and just take it a day at a time, been told can't cure me. Any advice appreciated x

  • Hi Sue51 welcome to the forum..I am sorry that you have not had a reply as yet. It is so important to remain positive and continue to take one day at a time. It's not always easy though to do that so be prepared for the off days as well and they are allowed so dont be too hard on yourself if you have one of those. Hopefully once you get that treatment plan and you know what's in front of you you will feel better. I know that sounds a bit silly saying that but it's almost a relief to know what's in front of you.. sending best wishes your way for now.

  • I'm in the same boat as you Sue, I hope you get the support that I have experienced so far.  I have been told that there's every chance I've got years rather than months but nothing is certain.  Good luck on this journey.

  • Sorry you are going through the same as me. I have also been told could have year's not months. I have appointment tomorrow at Christie's to finally find out the plan after 2 weeks delay because they forgot something, not a great start. Do you know yet what treatment you are having? Hope everything goes well for you and that we both get the year's not months. Keep positive and take care x
