Hi Monty67 welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. All of us here in the group are either living with lung cancer, or are caring for someone who is, so we all understand the struggles both physically and emotionally. It may be worth looking to see if you have any local support groups near by which may help with being alone. You can check if Macmillan have any groups in you local area by clicking on the link below.
If you have a maggies. close to you, they also have support groups.
People think that we because we have been living with this disease for so long, that we are OK and dealing with things well. But the truth is, it is very stressful to know that we do have cancer, and we do not know what tomorrow will look like. It is good to remember that we do have good days, and try and concentrate on those rather than the down days.
Hi Chelle thanks for your message, will have a look to see what’s available, have tried a group at a hospice but wasn’t for me, keep trying to keep things as normal as possible which is really hard. Anyway keep chin up etc. hope you have a good day chelle take care
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
