Hi adonna28 the waiting for test results is agonising. It does seem to take such a long time. The biopsy is the one that takes the longest, and that is the most important one as this will determine what type of lung cancer it is, and so which treatment will be best. It can take a couple of weeks for the oncologist to get all the reports back, and then they hold a meeting called an MDT where the oncologist and a team of specialists look at all the reports and make a decision on the best treatment plan. I know whilst you are waiting it feels like nothing is happening, but there is lots going on behind the scenes, to get these reports together.
Hopefully it won’t be too much longer.
ty so much for your reply i just feel so lost atm , and im more scared they going to say their is nothing they can do it terrifies me thanku for your reply xx

Oh no! I am really sorry to hear he has to go through another biopsy. I have just been reading your other thread with Mike Thehighlander and can see he has given you some really great advice. Please do still come here to chat if you need to. We are all here to support each other x
ty so much sometimes it just gets all so much xx
Yes I can understand that. It is a horrible feeling, and at times you feel like it’s not really happening. Although it is me now who now has the cancer, I did care for my mum who had ovarian cancer, and passed away one year before I was diagnosed. It is a different feeling completely seeing a loved one going through this, as you feel so helpless. As a patient you are the one trying to hide your true feelings to protect your loved ones. Myself and my partner try to be honest and open with each other about how we are feeling, but it is hard sometimes.
Sending hugs.
