Hi , I just wanted to reach out, my husband was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 23, which he had removed by awake craniotomy, once they knew it was not the primary source - further scans meant they found a lung tumour. Following the PET scan and tests on biopsies the lung has been diagnosed as the primary tumour. He's just finished radiotherapy and is feeling exhausted. He's being so sensible about it, I am just trying to come to terms with it, what it might mean and what he might have to go through, he's so brave.
Hi Ellie
I don't think I knew what I was asking when I wrote the post! He's just had 3 weeks of radiotherapy for the brain tumour cavity and the whole brain. II think I was just reaching out in a 'talk to me way'. I feel isolated with this whereas my husband is so pragmatic and so incredibly brave.
I don't know anyone who has faced what he has to go through. We don't have a plan for the lung cancer, we have an appointment next week and hoping this will shed some light on what comes next. Chemo and Immuno therapy have been mentioned. It sounds like you have lots of knowledge.
There was been a lot of confusion about the primary cancer, some misleading results led to further examination of the biopsies between the end of March and now. We are so desperate for some clarity i think.
xx
Once you have your appointment i am sure every thing will be explained to you.
Every one is so different, and yes i have not come up with another like your husband,
I am glad the brain tumour, was sorted out first,
I have lung cancer, and was diagnosed in 2016, yes i am still here, not been easy, but nothing in life is,
Once you have a plan every thing does seem better, in the fact you know which way you are going.
Please fill free to ask anything when ever you wish..A positive attitude, s the best oilcy, and i have to say i have had that from the start, in that i can be stubborn. Used to swear at mine,
Do not get me wrong we all have our down moments we are human.
Hope the appointment coming up, helps to put things in the order of going forward,
xxxxx
