Welcome to the group you will find a lot of support here and someone is always willing to help.

I assume as the cancer has been confirmed your meeting with the oncologist will be to discuss treatment options. You will be asked to sign a treatment document, don't worry they give you a copy.

At this stage I'm sure you have many questions, may I suggest you right them down and take them with you to the meeting. If possible take someone with you, it's not always easy to take in all that's being said so another pair of ears is good, make sure you have a note book and write down any important points, you should be appointed a nurse specialist they are brilliant and will help you through any situation. If you forget to ask your consultant any questions you can always ask the nurse they will provide you with contact numbers so don't worry about that.

Remember all the decisions are yours, you deal with the cancer how you see fit, they will explain all the treatment options and possible side effects, basically a lot of information will be given to you and it's a lot to take in.

In the meantime try not to worry to much easier said than done, but remember worry won't solve this but treatment will help. Incidentally do you know what cancer you have wear the cancer is and it stage, it's useful to know as others in similar situation can give more specific advice.

Not yet have lung cancer spread to lymph nodes in chest and maybe spine. Hoping to find out more on Monday.
