Hello, I'm New. My name is Nicky and both of my parents have cancer. My Dad has stage 4 lung cancer, and my Mum has CLL (leukaemia). So I am a bit of a mess. Both are incurable, my Mum is doing well but I am very frightened for my Dad.

Having a loved one diagnosed with cancer is scary enough, to have both parents must be very frightening for you. There is support for you here on the lung group, but you can also join the

Where you can connect with other members who are in a similar situation to yourself. 

You can also call the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 00 00. They are available 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm.

I really do understand you being scared and being a mess but I'm also sure you are doing your very best for your parents. We are a good group on here who will support you if we can. Please feel free to express your feeling in this forum we all understand. None of us are professional so perhaps a good starting place for some sound advice and support is to give the support line a call or if you have a Maggie's centre near you pop in there. The best thing you can do for yourself and your parents is to take care of yourself, you can get access to some very good support and treatment for yourself at the Maggie's centre.

I am stage 4 lung cancer if you tap on my avatar you can read about my journey so far. Treatment are advancing all the time so never give up hope, I know this is difficult but please try.
