Hello everyone
I was diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday there are secondaries on the liver and adrenal glands
I will be having a biopsy followed by a discussion with an oncologist to decide whether or not it`s too late for treatment
My only symptom is breathlessness I have no pain and haven’t lost any weight I find it hard to believe it`s as bad as it sounds
it will be interesting to hear how many others have had similar experiences
Hi GrannieG77346b welcome to the group, but I am so sorry you have found yourself here. I know how terrifying this is for you, being told you have cancer, but then having to wait for all the tests and results before you see the oncologist. Many people say that this is the worst part, because there just seems to be so much waiting!
There are so many treatments available now for lung cancer, treatment has come along such a long way in recent years. Some of us, like myself, have been told we are incurable but treatable and have been living relatively normal lives on treatment for many years.
If you click on my profile picture you can read my story on my profile page. I’m sure others will be along to welcome you here as well.
Thank you, chellesimo
I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet.
