X-ray and CT scan showed a 4.7 cm mass in my right lung. I am very terrified and have been waiting for EBUS biopsy tomorrow.
Hi Lisa
It’s a very stressful time waiting for the results and then waiting to see what treatment will be offered. Everyone is different so the Multi Discipline Team will meet and decide what’s best for you. I hope you have your results and treatment soon as it all becomes easier when you know what’s going on. It’s such a shock but everyone on here is very helpful. Dr Google is not a good place to go for information as it’s often not up to date. I’ve used both MacMillan and Roy Castle Lung cancer sites. There are so many people here who can tell you about their experiences and treatments.
I’ve found talking to the helplines so supportive and informative. If you are diagnosed your team should include a specialist nurse that you and your family can contact.
I was diagnosed March 2022 with a right lung tumour of 4.3cm. I had a lobectomy to remove the tumour in May and I now have scans every 6 months. My next one is due in May. I decided against chemo as the lymph nodes were not affected. Only time will tell.
Sending you a big hug, Daisy xx
