Hi all, I’m Jo and whilst not new (unfortunately) to MacMillan forums I am a newbie to the Lung group.
I’m a 53 year old wife and mother of two grown up daughters. I was diagnosed and successfully treated for aggressive triple Neg breast cancer in 2015. In 2021 I lost my mum and best Friend to lung cancer after a 16 wks short battle in 2021, March 2022 I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 1a Womb cancer had a full hysterectomy and 4 brachytherapy sessions, on the day I was to be discharged from the Gyne team there was a query into lesions on my spine spotted on an unconnected MRI. Given my cancer history led to a PET scan, and blow me down lesions ooh and bowel polyps removal all clear! Now not even 12 mths later the b*****d big C has decided to take root in my right lung!
Someone is looking out for me as again it’s looking contained so chop off the upper right lope and be gone.
Whilst I prepare for battle again as in both the other journeys I found being fore warned is for armed but I must add humour is also my crutch!
Sending strength to all! X
