Hi everyone im new here my partner has incurable lung cancer stage 4 has had chemo but has now started growing again im scared it may have now gone to his brain because he is falling a lot a we are waiting for a brain scan result and we are so scared of the results any advice plz x
Hiya, sorry to hear he has had a few falls. I hope he didn't hurt himself, and that results from brain scan will be negative. I can't imagine what you are both going through. Let's hope they can put him on a different kind of treatment. Please stay strong and positive. Please let me know how he gets on.
Hi thanks muffin break the brain scan was clear so the oncologist says the falling and confusion is the cancer progressing .She will start a nrw chemo only if she thinks hes strong enough to take it its an awful journey isnt it .
Glad your doing ok on the tablets youve had a long journey .My partner was diagnosed 1 year ago and was so positive but when the chemo stopped working mentally hes gone down hill he only has me and one son who is supporting him so real hard take care x
This horrible disease does affect you mentally. It affects me every time I get a cold which always goes to my chest and keeps me coughing all night and I can feel the tumer touching my nerve. When I wait for results from my scans it's worrying as you always think the worst. Being positive looking after your well-being and having a partner who can support. My wife is good at noticing when I'm having a bad patch, she will do something to either make me laugh shout or look stunned, then she will say what head have you got on now and you know what it's always a positive head which comes up Trumps. Everyone who is suffering with cancer goes through different emotions every day but being positive and strong helps. I wish you all the luck in the world that your partner get the treatment which will help. Rob
