Well good morning to you all.

I would first like to say a big thank you to everyone who posts here, i have been reading your stories as i recover from my recent surgery, and its a big comfort to learn we are not unique in our diagnosis, and that others have gone through this, and can provide assurances when we "wobble".

I have taken great strength in reading the posts on this forum, and shall continue to do so.

Be brave, be strong, be blessed.

Happy Sunday y'all !! Thumbsup

  • Morning glad you’re finding the forum helpful to you … I’ve read your story and wish you well in your ongoing recovery Two hearts

  • Good morning , a very warm welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here.

I hope the recovery is going well for you. You are right, we do all have a wobble, I myself have been quiet on the site whilst I await CT results this week. 8 years on and you would think it would get easier, but your mind then starts thinking how long can I carry on being lucky for ? It’s a constant journey of ups and downs, but we ride the storm and we have some very clear moments of strength.

Look forward to chatting with you more x

  • Thanks Donna, my recovery from surgery is going well, 3 weeks post op and i have managed to drop off half of my strong painkiller (Oxycodene) and am mobilising more each day, I have managed a lovely 5 mile canal walk this morning, albeit at a slow pace and getting very breathless, but I am a very positive minded life-a-holic and intend beating the hell out of my cancer!!

The diagnosis came as a complete shock, am (was) a fit & healthy bloke with a physical job and outdoor lifestyle, no symptoms whatsoever until i coughed a small amount of blood 3 weeks prior to finding my 7cm tumour!! Mind blown!

I am still waiting to find out what course of treatment awaits, it has been indicated i will require chemo, so my intention is to get as fit as possible again before further treatment.

My advice is "Pull on your wellies and jump in every puddle"!!!!

    Dave.

  • Wish you a good luck Sculptor
