I had this twice (first time in the initial diagnosis process then about a year later when I had suspected recurrence which thankfully turned out to be a false alarm). I was anxious just like you are now but there's really nothing to worry about, you will be given a sedative to relax and it's most likely you won't even remember much about it afterwards.
I hope all goes well for you.

You're not being a wimp at all, the whole thing is very daunting and there's nothing wrong with feeling anxious or just downright scared. I know I was well petrified at the time.

I too have recently bee; diagnosed with cancer in the upper lobe of my left lung. I had a bronchoscopy 3 weeks ago. I’m not going to lie they’re not pleasant BUT they will sedate you which makes the whole procedure a lot easier and once it’s done it’s done and I’m sure you will cope with it fine. I think the actual thought of the procedure is worse than the procedure itself. Good luck
Thank Mandie. I had it this morning. As you say, it’s not that bad at all. I could see the screen though and distinctly saw 3 white circles in a triangle. I see the consultant again on 13th. I wish you only good news. x
