My mum has had a cough and hoarse throat for about 9 weeks she has just received X-ray results saying there is a small amount of fluid that need investigating the Dr said no tumours were shown still worried as have heard you can still have lung cancer. She is 78 any advice would be welcome thank you xx
Hi Primrose, sorry this is an impossible question for any of us to answer, we can only tell our own story and the experience we have had.
What I can say that there are lots of other conditions apart from cancer that can cause fluid. I know playing the waiting game for a definitive answer is very difficult, so I hope you get some answers for your mum soon.
