Hi just introducing myself as I'm a newbie. Father in law diagnosed this time last year with terminal Small cell lung cancer. After 4 months chemo the huge tumour was gone. Two months on still clear but small growths on pancreas and bowel. A further three months ( today) lung tumour is back, pancreas tumour much larger and bowel tumour also larger. Palliative care offered.
Mother in law is virtually immobile we live 70mile round trip away. How does Hospice and MacMillan work in all this please?
It's been such a stressful year 4x a week at hospital and I can't see a lot of light in the near future.
Hi Baytree063 welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your father in law. That sounds very tough on your mother in law with her mobility issues as well, it must be very hard with you living so far away.
Can I suggest you give the Macmillan support line a call, they will be able to go through every thing with you as to regards to Hospice and care in the community. It is a free call number and they are available 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm on 0808 808 00 00.
Take care
