  • Hiya glad your cancer has stabilised Walter 3112. When the surgeon operated on me to take the tumer away I thought great, but that wasn't the case. When he came round to see me he dropped a bombshell, sorry Rob he said the cancer he to advanced, I was devastated didn't know what to think my head was all over the place ? I've just got over the operation and I'm seeing the consultant on Tuesday to see what options are open to me. Thinking of you

  • Hey sweetie. I am 48 years old, fit and healthy and feel good.  Last June the surgeon told me they had removed the 4cm tumour along with 30% of my lung. This June, a year later the cancer has come bHuggingk and is incurable but  treatable. Luckily I can take afantanib tablets for as long as I can tolerate the side effects and the cancer is “switched off”. But there will come a time where the tablets Huggingn’t fight the cancer anymore. I am positive that thing# are changing constantly and there is hope. Don’t give up! Stay strong* and take each day as it comes. Good luck for Tuesday and sending lots pHuggingitive vibes your way. HuggingHuggingLoads of hugs x

  • Hi Walter

You are the 1st person to say they have SCLC, I have combined cancer NSCLC and SCLC my daughter said I was greedy and just couldn't just have one lol. I really feel for you but you beat the odds for Christmas 2020 now you must aim for Christmas 2021 and fight the little buggers all the way.

I have my 1st CT scan after radiation course of 20 high dose sessions, my mass was 3cm and localised when it was discovered by accident. As you know NSCLC has quite a good prognosis of 5 years or more and ours is approx 2 years. All we can do is that someone somewhere will discover new treatments to keep it at bay. Sending you hugs and kisses and think of the positives as negatives get in the way of living your life xx Jean
