My brother has been diagnosed with lung cancer and we are scare I don’t know what to do how to talk to him or to approach to him .
this is very hard for the whole family
Hi , having been the person with cancer I think the best thing you can do is tell him how you feel, tell him that you want to be there for him and help him but that you don’t know how and just ask him what he needs from you. We are all different and need different things to cope.
The main thing I think is to make sure that your brother isn’t worrying and stressing about hiding his feelings and fears in order to protect you as that would be exhausting for him and make this process more stressful for him.
The longer you leave it the harder it will get so the sooner you talk to him the better you will both feel.
Wishing you both all the best x
Thank you very much for the support at the moment he is in denial and he is not accepting anyone closer to him. I will give him space and let him know we are all here for him when he is ready .
thank you
