Hi, ive been diagnosed with a carcenoid tumour stage 1, on my right lung. I am waiting for my pre-op, then the operation to remove it. Feeling very scared, but at the same time want it over with.

A warm welcome to the lung cancer forum, although I'm very sorry you have the need to join.
I think you fall between two stools with your problem.
First, you're about to undergo lung surgery so you're in the right place for advice on lung surgery. I had surgery for non small cell lung cancer 12 years ago, it involved complete removal of my right lung via open surgery. It's natural to be very scared before surgery, we all are, it's not a walk in the park but it really is not as bad as you fear.
What do you know about the extent of your forthcoming operation? Is it open or keyhole, full removal or removal of a lobe or a segment? If you can let us know you should get some advice from others who have undergone similar procedures.
Second, you have a carcenoid tumour, stage 1 which should be favourable. My understanding is that a carcinoid is in the Neuroendocrine group so it might be a good idea to also post your entry in that forum as well. I've placed a link for this below.
