Joined this page today as I am not coping with my husband’s rapidly deteriorating symptoms & don’t know what to do.
he’s chosen not to discuss his prognosis but as a nurse for 35yrs before retired I completely know what’s to come but don’t know how to cope

  • Hello ,

Welcome to the lung cancer forum, although I am very sorry you have the need to join due to your Husband's illness.

There are a few ways to seek help with your situation should you need to in addition to this forum and the Carers only forum which I see you have also joined.

First, there is a third forum that you might find useful to join, Supporting someone with incurable cancer and I've included a link below should you wish to use it:

Supporting someone with incurable cancer forum

Macmillan also offer professional help and support that you can use this either by 'phoning their helpline for one to one support, by email or online chat. I have included limks below to find out more about them and how to use them:

    Call us

    Email us

    Chat online

If you have problems with medical or physical care issues and similar you can also ask an experienced nurse and the link to further information on this is below:

    Ask a Nurse

If you have any other questions please ask and I'll do my best to help.

    Derek.
