We found out about 2 months ago that mum had cancer. The local doctor picked up an abnormality in her liver blood test, was sent for a scan which picked up a tumour in the liver , a small tumour in the lung and sternum (which had broken one of her ribs) and also gone to her bones. Mum was sent for an MRI to see if it has spread to her brain which it has. A week ago mum had a liver biopsy. The results came back yesterday and it is lung cancer. Mum has an appointment Tuesday for more advanced blood tests at one hospital but they have already booked her in at the encology hospital for Thursday. I have been up all night
