I was diagnosed with Ardenocarcinoma at the end of August 2019. I had chemo for a few months which appeared to work but the maintenance didn’t. I was then put on immunotherapy, that didn’t work either. I am now on docetaxel and nintendanib capsules. I have had six treatments of the intravenous but at reduced dose, and also a reduced dose of nintendanib. After two full doses I was so ill that I was hospitalised! So the consultant dropped the dosage and I appear to be ok, still get the side affects but not as badly. I am awaiting a CT scan which is next week and then hopefully if the treatment has been successfull I shall be out on a maintenance if nintendanib.
had anyone else undergone this treatment?
Hello Jessicadog, and "welcome" to the group (although you probably wish you were anywhere else). I, personally, have not had any immunotherapy (I'm on a TKI) but I am sure someone on the site will have experience of your combo.
Just wanted to let you know your post isn't being ignored.
John
Thank you, I wonder what will happen if this treatment doesn’t work! I have a scan next week so I will know soon enough. Feeling very low at the moment! But not to worry hopefully good news next week!
Hi Jessicadog I just wanted to join John boy2 in welcoming you to the group. Sounds like you have been through a lot already. Good luck with the CT next week.
Thank you, yes quite a bit, still feel as though I am floundering and it’s not real!
