Hi

i had a bowel cancer removed on December and now I’m diagnosed with lung cancer. Any advice please ?

  • Hi DETI

So sorry that you have cause to join this group.

It would help if you could provide a bit more detail for the members of the Group. For example; Are you at the start of the diagnosis process? Do you know what type of lung cancer you have? Has your team mentioned anything about proposed treatment? How are you dealing with what must be devastating news?

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Hi Kegsy.

I still don’t know yet . A week ago I had an appointment will my doctor and she said I have lung metastasis. 5 and 9 millimetres.

she will refer me to a specialist.
I am waiting for his call.

  • Hi Deti, I am so sorry you find yourself here after having bowel cancer. The waiting is the worst isn’t it, not knowing what will happen. My lung cancer is metastatic from womb cancer, so I know how scary it is to be told it has come back. Hope you don’t have to wait too long before you get any answers.

    Take care

    Hi Chellesimo.
how are you doing now ? What treatments did you have ? Is cancer lungs metastatic curable?
im still waiting. Hope will not leave any longer

    thank you

    Deti

  • Hi Deti, mine is a rare sarcoma that I have, which is hormone dependent. So after some radiotherapy I have been on hormone treatment since 2014. If you click on my picture it will take you to my profile and you can read my story.

Lung cancer has come a long way in recent years with new treatments.  Many people are told they are incurable, like myself, but it doesn’t mean you are not treatable, and with treatment some people can live for many years. I don’t tell people I have cancer, I tell them I am living with cancer, and I have a pretty good life too.

    Hi Chello

    I was reading your profile.

I’m sorry that you had to pass to much. Hope everything will go well.
I don’t know if I will be strong enough to deal with this.

I have twins 3year old . I have to be strong for them.

  • Deti you will find the strength, and we will be here to support you every step of the way. X
