Hello, in need of a chat! I was diagnosed with ardenocarcinoma In August/Sept 2019. Since then I have had chemo for several months which stopped working, immunotherapy, which didn’t work, I am now back on a different chemotherapy, which includes a dose of intravenous drugs and then taking four capsules a day for 20 days. This made me so ill that I was hospitalised and three weeks later still have dihorea! The hospital have stopped all treatment pending a CT scan and have told me I am fast running out of options, if the treatment isn’t working they will look for a clinical trial for me, if it is working they will try to tailor the drugs so that I can tolerate them. Has anyone else been in this position?
Hi Jessicadog and welcome to the online community, but so sorry to hear about your diagnoses. It sounds like you have been through a rotten time. I am sorry, I don't have any personal experience with chemo or immunotherapy. There are a few people who are in the same situation as you, who are either on a trial, or waiting for a trial in the Incurables group. I will put a link HERE for you so you can go straight to it. They are a lovely, supportive group who are all living with an incurable cancer. It may be worth asking there about their experiences of trials.
Take care
